This fall is turning out to be BUSY! I have 3 event announcements for you!
1. Tomorrow join us for our Design Philadelphia presentation at the Skybox Gallery 2424 E. York St.
Date: Friday October 9th
and pink tank sculptures, Vince Colvin, Colleen Rudolf, Kate Kaman, Joel Erland, and Lane Davis of the 2009 People's Choice Winner Zombish Team; Andy Dyson of the Neighborhood Bike Works, Paul
Filanowski of the Shad Run, Kathryn Doherty-Chapman organizer of the Kensington
Kinetic Sculpture Derby; and Bradley Litwin a renowned Kinetic Sculpture
maker. Exhibit opens at 6:00 PM, presentations at 7:00 PM.
2. Also check out the newest member of the Kinetic Sculpture Competition team in Delaware!

The entire community comes together at the DCCA to help celebrate its 30th
Birthday during this afternoon celebration. Enjoy an afternoon of art
activities and entertainment with the highlight of the day watching or
participating in our first ever Kinetic Sculpture Race. It’s actually
more of a spectacle and procession than anything and a whole lot of
fun! Area businesses, artists, community groups, families, and kids
will have fun creating and racing their own people-powered vehicles.
Gather a group of friends, pick a theme, dress up, and laugh until your
cheeks hurt! Enjoy bicycle-decorating workshops preceding the race and
enter to join in on the fun! The racecourse is approximately 1.5 miles
around the riverfront. Join in or cheer on your family and friends! More info: www.thedcca.org

The Galleries at Moore-20th Street and The Parkway
Artists, designers, young
entrepreneurs, and design business professionals talk about their experiences
with building and sustaining art and design businesses and artist community
organizations. Held as the closing event for DesignPhiladelphia 2009
and in conjunction with the closing of Bicycle: people + ideas in motion.
