Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby

I can smell the glory on you from here.  Your ready to meet like minded folks, form a team, choose a design, and start to build the vehicle that will carry you onward to glory!

Well your in luck.  On Saturday March 3rd at noon NKCDC will host our annual Derby Meet n Greet!  Hosted, as always by the Philadelphia Brewing Company, this event is an opportunity to learn about the whats whens hows and wheres of the 6th annual Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby, and meet folks who's team you might join, or who might join your team.  It's fun, free, and a great opportunity to wrap your mind around this crazy event, and your arms around some new friends.

Then, on Saturday March 10th at noon the Frank's Kitchens collective will host a "How to Build" event at their workshop at 1581 Randolph St.  You may remember these folks as the creators of the Sand Reckoner, and other post-apocalyptic looking sculptures.

This event will be an opportunity to see how John S of Frank's goes through their creative process, to design, and finally to build.  There will also be a bike chopping demo to help people learn about de-and reconstructing bikes for the purpose of moving sculpture.

Both events are not to be missed if your interested in the derby, or if your a vet looking for a refresher, or just a good time!
